With a bit of a look of the late great Henry Sandon about him , this Pearlware jug is a rarity in that he still retains his hat / lid ! 
The Snuff Taker C1840. Super colours, particularly love the chequered hat and waistcoat . He’s had a life !  With an historical repair to snuff taking arm and hairline to rim but nonetheless a great look to him.
