An evocative coloured print by George Baxter C 1859.

Baxter was an English painter ( 1804-1867) and is credited with the invention of commercially viable colour printing.

This is a super example, the colours are rich and vibrant and the study is of a young boy at the festive doorstep of a fine home being offered a tipple of wine and a piece of cake.....his eyes are a wonder !
