A gorgeous little Birth-Day Promises book , “with ruled pages for the names of relatives, friends and acquaintances or any other memoranda”.
With various verses of poetry and scripture and wonderful gilt embossed binding and page edges. Largely unwritten in but with the odd birthday entry, the declaration of war recorded in 1939, Victory Day in 1946 and funnily, an entry to record ‘Huddersfield beat Castleford in the Yorkshire Challenge Cup.’
Completely useable with a lovely dose of social history thrown in !
