You can’t beat the attention to detail in these wonderful volumes from 1864.

Two volumes, leather bound ( one has a loose board and spines are tatty ) Marbled page edges. Each volume with a portrait frontispiece and a color title page. Both with numerous bright, full-page color illustrations as well as hundreds of black and white text illustrations.
I can never bring myself to break up a book but there are loads of frame-able pages, you could make a fabulous gallery wall from them.
